Student services student leadership program 2015 – recruiting now

Would you like to59dfa6af14be804017d9b1d78c00a83c receive free training in leadership skills (valued over $300) plus a certificate for your resume, in exchange for offering your skills to the Griffith community?

The Welfare and Student Liaison Office in Student Services coordinates an annual leadership program which is offered to potential or current student leaders.  We would like to invite students interested in participating in leadership activities within Griffith to submit an Expression of Interest to join the program. If you wish to apply, please visit the Welfare and Student Liaison Office website ( and complete the online Expression of Interest form by 9:00am on Monday 4 May  2015. Students who are short-listed will be invited to attend a group interview on their campus in  Weeks 10 to 12.  Successful applicants will be notified by mid June.

Successful students can attend the training program at either the Gold Coast or Nathan campuses.  Details are as follows:

Day 2: Tuesday, 21 July 2015 9:30 – 4:00
Nathan Campus Day 1: Tuesday, 21July 2015 9:30 – 3:30 To be confirmed upon acceptance into program
Day 2: Wednesday, 22 July 2015 9:30 – 4:00
Students who complete the training will be expected to put their leadership skills into practice within the Griffith community.  You must be willing to undertake a total of at least three such leadership activities during Semester 2, 2015 and Semester 1, 2016.  You can create your own activities or select from a list of suggestions provided.
