Are you a tech savvy, engaged student with great leadership, social media and event management skills? Do you love Google and possess a certain Google-y quality? Are you enthusiastic and want to get the best possible experience before graduation? Then come along to the Griffith Google End of Year Picnic at QCA, South Bank on Thursday December 3rd.
Griffith’s amazing Google Student Ambassador, Erika, has organised the event and will be available to answer your questions about the program. As a Google student ambassador, you have the opportunity to plan and host fun events on campus, act as a campus contact for Google teams, learn about innovative Google products and programs and help Google better understand Griffith’s university culture.
You’ll also get an all expenses paid trip to Google HQ in Sydney with incredible opportunities to tour the building and network with Google staff and other Google Student Ambassadors. Not to mention, your participation as an ambassador gives you a definite advantage when applying for Google internships – an opportunity that can take you all over the world.
Of course, the competition for such a coveted prize is fierce, but your attendance at the End of Year Picnic will give you a definite advantage (they even ask you in your application whether you have attended any Google events on campus). You’ll also get the opportunity to workshop your resume with our Career Leaders, who can give you the best tips about how to write a stellar professional resume, even if you don’t have that much experience. Applications close December 14th so you’ll need to be quick!
Google Student Ambassadors will be there to tell you all about the program and equip you with flyers outlining exactly how to make a resume in Google Docs, create a YouTube video (as you need to upload a 1 minute video as part of your application) and provide you with the info to create the best possible application.
Not to mention, there will be free pizza (yes that’s right, FREE PIZZA), snacks, great Griffith merchandise and Google giveaways and the chance to laze in the sun while learning about this incredible opportunity. Make sure you register your attendance for catering purposes.
