Griffith University Partners with Queensland Treasury to place Students and Graduates in the 2021 Indigenous Cadetship

Griffith University Partners Queensland Treasury to place Students and Graduates in the 2021 Indigenous Cadetship

Building on the success of previous collaboration in 2019 between Griffith Careers and Employment Service and Queensland Treasury, in 2021 Treasury and Griffith continue to work together to fill places in the 2021 Indigenous Cadetship Program. This partnership has successfully increased employment outcomes for our Griffith Students and Graduates and created awareness of the Treasury Cadetship program among our student cohorts.

Our Student Employment Recruitment consultants worked with Treasury to find suitable applicants for the roles. With the help of our GUMURRII unit who kindly provided a list of their student cohorts, our recruiters found 7 outstanding candidates whom they could present confidently to Treasury. We are proud to announce that 7 Griffith students were successfully hired into the program.

Student Employment aim to place our final year students into full time graduate jobs. We encourage our final year students to log into CareerHub and join Student Employment group so that they may benefit from great opportunities like this in future. Students can read more about securing employment with Queensland Treasury and Queensland Government within the links. If students are uncertain if their resume and application are ready to present to employers, they can benefit from our online resume submission service which allows them to submit their resume and receive online feedback from our highly qualified Career Development Consultants.

Both Griffith and Treasury are very pleased with this outcome and we hope to work together to improve graduate employment outcomes in future.
