The next Meet the Wavemakers | Signs of Movement event is coming up on August 2 and is a support event for the A World View: The Tim Fairfax Gift exhibition that is currently on display at Gallery at HOTA until September 9.

Guests to this event will participate in a lively discussion on movement and its cultural manifestations. No topic is off limit as these experts in their fields talk about how they use movement through their ideas and practice. They will share stories about their lives, works, fears and everything in between.

“The Gallery is looking forward to bringing to the Gold Coast an event that offers a rare opportunity to meet and engage with nationally recognised professionals from contrasting areas of the arts,” said Tracy Cooper-Lavery, Director, Gallery at HOTA.

This year’s Wavemakers are Geraldine Barlow, Curator of International Art, QAGOMA; local artist Dr Chris Bennie and Co-founder of Boomerang Bags, Jordyn De Boer.
