Today we are bringing you some great job opportunities across all our Griffith University campuses working with the Student Transition and Leadership Team.

They are currently recruiting for the following positions:

Postgraduate Uni-Skills Study Group Leaders

As a Postgraduate Uni-Skills Study Group Leader, you will mentor and facilitate a study group of postgraduate students throughout semester. The study group will comprise students within your faculty of study (Health; Sciences; Arts, Education, Law or Griffith Business School).

* You will mentor students on topics including academic skills such as time management, exam preparation and assessment writing. You will also mentor students in relation to individual circumstances and refer students to appropriate services, if/when required.

* You will encourage participation from all study group members, be respectful of differences in group members and create a fun learning environment.

* You will develop study group session plans each week – including developing relevant activities, to ensure sufficient material for the one hour study group session.

* You will provide short presentations at lectures at the beginning of semester to promote the program and make use of the online academic skills facility ‘Smarthinking’.

Uni-Skills Study Group Leaders

As a Uni-Skills Study Group Leader, you will lead and facilitate a study group for each semester composed of continuing students (second year level and above) through the academic skills related to your program of study.

* You will provide academic skills include such things as time management, exam preparation and assessment writing. Mentor students in relation to personal circumstances and refer to appropriate services, when required.

* You will encourage participation from all study group members, be respectful of differences in group members and create a fun learning environment.

* You will develop study group session plan each week – includes developing relevant activities, to ensure sufficient material for the one hour study group session.

* You will provide short presentations at lectures at the beginning of semester to promote the program and make use of the online academic skills facility ‘Smarthinking’.

* Contribute to the Uni-Skills Leader Facebook page on a regular basis.

* Use and promote the online academic tool Smarthinking to study groups throughout semester.
